Old Bermuda Night

One of my favorite things about stamping is the stress relief it provides after a long day at work. It is so nice to be able to put work aside and do something else that I love. Stamping allows me to reflect on my day and relax!

I am not sure how many of you hang out on splitcoaststampers but I am totally hooked! This card was made for both the color challenge and sketch challenge this week CC472 and SC482.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Old Bermuda Night Swallowtail!

I am hooked on pretty much anything butterfly or flower related and have been for years. Did you know that the butterfly is the symbol for creativity? It also symbolizes joy, change, color, freedom and the soul. Pretty much sums me up for those of you that know me well.

I made this card with a night of navy A2 vertical fold base, a Bermuda bay piece cut slightly smaller than the base and embossed with the cloudy day embossing folder that was offered awhile back by Stampin' Up! I cut two 1" strips of night of navy to form the 'cross' on the card. I stamped the swallowtail stamp with Bermuda bay ink and then hit is with my 2-way glue pen and sprinkled on some dazzling diamonds which is WAY  better in real life. I then stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the teeny tiny wishes stamp set in old olive. I attached it to a slightly larger piece of Bermuda bay cardstock and adhered it onto my card front with dimensionals for some added depth. I attached the brights designer buttons in old olive to the card front with glue dots after tying in some linen thread.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Swallowtail, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy
Ink: Old Olive, Bermuda Bay
Big Shot: Cloudy Day embossing folder
Embellishments: brights designer buttons, dazzling diamonds, linen thread
Miscellaneous:  2-way glue pen, stampin' dimensionals, glue dots

Happy Stamping!
