Graduation Projects

Hey Everyone! Hope you are enjoying the awesome spring weather we have been having!

Graduation celebrations have ended around my house and now everything is University focused! Sigh...where did the time go?

I made this card and matching bag for my daughters graduation gift! An adorable Pandora charm commemorate her graduation from High School.

I used a technique called Paper Piercing on the hat and diploma and just LOVE how it turned out!

The stamp on the card is NOT Stampin' Up! But I did want to share it as the remainder of most of the products are. This stamp was purchased a couple of years ago - for just this occasion!

Random Acts of Kindness

I am a bit of a softy when it comes to paying things forward, so it was a natural for me to join a RAK group that sends out RAK's (Random Acts of Kindness) on a regular basis.

This card was made using the favorite colors of the receiver. In just a few short days these colors are retiring! I hope they like it!

Graduation Time

Hey what a week! We have been busy preparing for the last week for my daughter's Grade 12 Graduation Party! Tonight is the banquet and it has been as time consuming I think as when I planned my wedding.

My girl is all about the pink so I created this little project to sit on the food table.

I used MDS (My Digital Studio) to create the subway art in black and strawberry slush. The grad hat was made with a square punch and the owl builder punch. It's hard to tell in the photograph but the tassel is the NEW thick baker's twine in Strawberry Slush being released in the new catalogue June 2!

The owls were created with basic black, whisper white and strawberry slush cardstock and the Owl Builder Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch. I made the hats the same way as the one in the frame.

So I am a little behind on showing off the fabulous paper pumpkin kits! With May's showing up at my door in a short while I thought I would get this out there. This kit was all about the Mom's and it's awesome!

My Creation!

 I made this Mother's Day card with the leftover pieces from the kit. And as per Paper Pumpkin norm there is oodles left to play with - I have added all my extras to a bin for a Mash Up at the end of the year!

Flower Shop For Mom

This card combined many of my favorites. My favorite neutral is Smoky Slate - it's gorgeous with everything! Flower Shop is one of my all time favorite stamp sets and Even though it's retiring I love Delightful Dozen. The new Hexagon Hive Framelit is to die for! Love this thing! 

So love the multiple layers and dimension on this card. Of course the inside couldn't be left blank either and I added a piece of matching DSP to that as well.

Happy Nurses Week!

It's Nurses Week and as a Nurse myself I wanted to take a moment and recognize all of you nurses out there! Things run the way they do because of you! Hopefully during this week someone takes a moment and thanks you for all your hard work and dedication. NURSES ROCK!

Secret Garden Mother's Day

Wow it's been awhile since I have posted - apologies for that. Seems life takes over sometimes.

It is hard to believe Mother's Day is just around the corner! Here in Calgary it is still cold and snowing!

Secret Garden Mother's Day Card

A dear friend of mine asked if I would create a Mother's Day card for her and this is what I came up with! I just love the versatility of the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper and the Secret Garden Stamp set and coordinating framelits. I will be sad to see them retire at the end of the Month. 

The inside of the card (not shown here) is just as pretty with some leftover pieces of whisper white cardstock and birthday basics DSP. I added the sentiment from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Peaceful Thanks

I love making these little cards! Each of my customers gets one of these little cuties in some form or fashion when they place an order with me. 

This one was made using the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set from the Celebrate the Everyday mini catalogue. I am going to miss this set when it retires June 1! I also used my favorite 2012-2014 In Color that is also leaving us - Raspberry Ripple. The Designer Series Paper is from the Birthday Basics Collection. And of course it just wouldn't be the same without a matching envelope! I made that using the Envelope Punch Board and a piece of the Birthday Basics DSP.
